Breakfast Crunch Cookies
I am about to share with you one of my favorite recipes of all times... Aimee's Breakfast Crunch Cookies. Yes they are low-fat, but I am telling you, they are A-MAZING. They are a yummy and easy/quick breakfast for those of us that sometimes run late in the mornings (NOT me, of course). Plus, they're packed with fiber so they fill you up for a few hours.
Heck, even Matt likes them so you know they have to be good. :)
Go here for the recipe!!!
Let me know what you think!

Stop and Stare!!
My brother, his girlfriend Cheryl, Matt and I went to Winstar Friday night to see OneRepublic. Now, I have been a fan of theirs for a while (I pride myself in discovering "Apologize" before it became so popular), so I was pretty excited when Cheryl invited us to join them.
We ended up being on the 2nd row, and at one point, Ryan Tedder jumped off the stage and was standing no more than 5 feet away from us. No lie, my camera died at that very moment. :( So sad. I was able to get a few good pics though.

We had so much fun! They are such an incredibly talented band!!

YAY!
They accepted our offer on the house. We are so excited, but still very nervous. We have to come up with quite a bit of money and a refrigerator and all these things to fill a house! Okay, so we're definitely not short on furniture... But we really have to come up with things to make this house ours. We are stressed, but super happy to be a bit more settled. We're growing up so quickly! :)

10 Songs That Changed My Life
I was reading a People Magazine the other day, and saw a little section with this title. I can't even remember who was featured in the article, but I started wondering... What 10 songs changed MY life?
"Return to Innocence" by Enigma-- I know what you're thinking... What the heck?! How life-changing is this song? Well, I simply had to put it on the list because it was the first cd I ever bought. It marked the beginning of a beautiful relationship between music and myself.
"Tootsie Roll" by the 69 Boyz-- Another odd choice! Well, this song marks my preteen years, where we did a finely sculpted routine at the local skate rink.
"Friends and Family" by Trik Turner-- Jump from preteen to high school. I will never forget the day I heard this song. I was in a ski shop in Whistler, Canada.
"Collide" by Howie Day-- College days... I first heard this song in Arizona. I was in a beautifully disastrous relationship that was quickly coming to an end. This song always takes me back there and helped me remember how much I've grown since then.
"The Red" by Chevelle-- Chevelle is one of my favorite bands of all time. This is the first song of theirs that was popular. Thank you, radio, for introducing me to this band!
"Fix You" by ColdPlay-- This song doesn't necessarily have a specific part of my life. It just reminds me of a time when I needed to be "fixed." Man, I've come so far. :)
"Mourning" by Tantric-- I wish I could remember the exact day and time that I first heard this song. It is incredible... One of my favorite songs of all time. The only other person I know that loves Tantric as much as me is Matt's brother, Brent.
"Say Hello Wave Goodbye" by David Gray-- This is the song I listened to when I was really upset with Matt. It's a great coping song if you ask me. In fact, I sang all 8 minutes of it at the British Rose karaoke last St. Patty's. Wow.
"Look After You" by the Fray-- I just really LOVE this song. As many times as I hear it, I never get tired of it.
"Miracle" by the Foo Fighters-- Save the best for last. This is mine and Matt's "song." It reminds me of how truly blessed I am.

In My Next Life.
Like the old, but ever-so fabulous song by Diamond Rio "I try not to think about what might have been." I mean, I really do. In all honestly, what is the point of reveling in your past? What's done is done, Plus, I'm pretty dadgum happy right now, so I am not too worried about what would have happened had I taken a different path.
However, I am still a very big "what if"-er. What got me thinking about this is based on a relationship (or lack of a relationship) that I have with a person that I barely know. Our feelings for each other are incredibly situational. Under the circumstances that we were brought together, we don't like each other for stupid, petty reasons. Honestly, I wouldn't even say I don't like her... I am just indifferent, but maybe it's because we are supposed to not get along, we have never made an effort to look past it all.
What brought all of my "what if" feelings about her to light was my happening to run across her blog. I was hesitant to read it at first, asking myself if I really cared about anything she had to say. But once I started reading, I realized something-- She's damn funny. She's honest. She's witty and full of personality. She's... a lot... like... (gasp) ME!? Yes, that was a half-hearted attempt at complimenting her while also reminding you of how freaking cool I am. :)
I couldn't help but wonder WHAT IF we had met under any other circumstance. I never thought I'd say this, but I am pretty sure we would be friends. Like friend-friends. Like almost bff-friends. Like call/text you every day-friends. Like make me the godmother of your children-friends. Like... Well, you get the point.
As you can imagine, this was a very strange, yet VERY humbling realization. It's possible that I have been too judgmental and even too cold to a person I don't even know. How disappointed I am in myself for letting a shotty situation determine how I feel about someone. I know things like this happen, I just hate that I had to be in the middle of it.
To her, I say "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for getting wrapped up in something that you and I didn't create... Something that we both just sort of fell in to. I was unfair to you and I sincerely apologize for it."
Who knows... Maybe in our next lifetime, we'll be friends. :)

House Hunt
So, last week or so, someone came and looked at my parents' house and decided that they want to make an offer. They have yet to do so, but it really got Matt and I thinking we should probably start looking elsewhere for a place to call home.
So, we have been looking nonstop, and MAN, is house-hunting a stressful event! Call me crazy, but I was honestly hoping we'd do a little online shopping, found the house of our dreams, call a realtor, go look at it, sign a contract, and wham bam thank you ma'am, we'd have our own perfect "white picket fence" sort of house! Yep, I was wrong.
Our problem in finding a house is that we have so many have-to-haves. Because Matt has his own business and takes a trailer everywhere, we need a house with lots of driveway room... No front entry garages. We need a neighborhood with no restrictions so that Matt can build a shop... No track neighborhoods. We're okay with a fixer-upper, in fact, we'd love a project like that, we just don't want to spend a lot of money on a house that needs work! Ugh.
While I do have faith that it'll all work out as it is supposed to, I am stressed nonetheless. Pray for my sanity please! And if you have any house suggestions, feel free to send them my way. :)

Prayer Request
My best friend had to take her fiance to the hospital yesterday. He was having severe chest pains and since he has had heart problems in the past, they did not want to take the chance. About 3 years ago, he had fluid build-up around his heart and it caused a heart attack.
They ran tests yesterday, but found nothing heart-related. While this should be good news, they are still worried because his condition has been overlooked before, and all of his symptoms are the same as last time. They sent him home with pain meds and no answer. Unfortunately, his normal cardiologist is out of town and will not return until Monday.
Today, even with the meds, he is still in pain, so they are going back to a heart hospital this afternoon. Please pray for them... That the doctor's will be able to tell them something to offer any sort of relief. Pray that the Lord will help ease his pain and all their worries.
